Pinwheel hair clips

I was head of heals for these pinwheel hair clips.  They were super easy to make.  I made them for all the girls in my daughters class to wear at the school’s annual memorial day parade.  I used the little leftover scraps to make tiny ones to decorate the sun shade on Z’s stroller.

I tried using a glue gun instead of sewing the button through.  I found that it was easiest to use a brad.

Elmo

After Z was invited to an Elmo party I decided to see what I could make with my wishblade.  I was very happy with the results. I made a bib, t-shirt and a tiny hair clip.

The clip turned out so cute.  I think I might make them for the girls at Z’s party.

Cinco de Mayo

I love anything Mexican.  I was excited to find this fun dessert and had to try it.

If I can do it anyone can.  The dip was very yummy!

Taco salad

This week my family is having all our favorite Mexican inspired dishes. We are doing it to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and to get out of a dinner rut. Tonight we had my son’s favorite taco salad.
This is a variation of a recipe from my MIL.

You start by browning a pound of ground beef. And an oven pre heating at 300.

While the meat is browning you crush some Doritos in the bottom of a baking dish.

On top of the chips you add some chopped up lettuce.

Add a packet of taco seasoning and water to the ground beef. Let it simmer for 10 min. Then add the ground beef to the baking dish.

Add a package of Mexican cheese and crush a few chip on top. Bake until the cheese is melted. Enjoy!
